Quando
il nostro sguardo si posa sulle fotografie di “From
Lido To” di Alberto Andrian, spontaneamente ci ritorna
in mente l’eco di un sentimento remoto, come uno strato
di polvere rimosso da una cartolina sbiadita. La nostra
abitudine allo spazio compresso delle città di
terraferma ci fa assaporare in modo particolare la
linearità e il vuoto degli spazi di “barena” del Lido,
sommersi o asciugati alternativamente dai movimenti
delle maree.
Luogo senza tempo ma dall’irresistibile richiamo
evocativo, i suoi caratteri sembrano voler azzerare la
dimensione temporale in favore di elementi appartenenti
al paesaggio, che diventa, allungato lo sguardo e
cercando oltre gli elementi in primo piano, il
protagonista principale del racconto. Questo è un mondo
antico, dove, proprio da questo sottile gioco di
rimandi temporali e di piani sovrapposti, queste
immagini prendono identità e forza, sanno essere
eloquenti e sottilmente ci sussurrano qualcosa di
intimo che già ci appassiona e un po’ anche ci
appartiene.

DE LA CRITIQUE
Lorsque
notre regard se pose sur les photographies de “From
Lido To” d'Alberto Andrian, il nous vient spontanément
à l'esprit l'écho d'un sentiment lointain, come une
couche fine de poussière enlevée d'une carte postale
décolorée. Notre habitude des espaces comprimés des
villes de la terre ferme nous fait savourer de manière
particulière la linéarité et le vide des espaces de
“barena” du Lido, tour à tour inondés
et asséchés par les mouvements des marées.
Lieu en dehors du temps mais au rappel évocateur
irrésistible, ses caractères semblent vouloir effacer
la dimension temporelle en faveurs des éléments
appartenant au paysage, paysage qui devient, en
regardant au-delà des éléments situés au premier plan,
le protagoniste principal de l'histoire. Ceci est un
monde ancien dans lequel, précisément du fait de ce jeu
subtil de renvois temporels et de plans superposés, ces
images prennent leur identité et leur force, savent
être éloquentes et nous murmurent doucement quelque
chose d'intime qui nous passione déjà et qui, aussi,
nous appartient un peu.

When
we lay our eyes on the photographs "From Lido To" by
Alberto Andrian, spontaneously the echo of a remote
feeling comes back to our memory, like a layer of dust
removed from a faded postcard. Being used to the
compressed space of the mainland cities gives us the
possibility to savour above all the linearity and the
emptiness of the spaces of Lido’s ‘sandbank’,
alternately flooded or dried by the movements of tides.
A timeless place, but with an irresistible evocative
appeal, its characters seem to want to clear the
temporal dimension promoting the elements belonging to
the landscape, which becomes, extending the overall
view and looking beyond the foreground, the main
protagonist of the story.
This is an ancient world, where these images assume
identity and strength, due to this subtle game of time
postponements and to overlapped surfaces, they know to
be eloquent and they not only subtly whisper something
intimate that moves us but they also, in a certain way,
a little belong to us too.
